I simply just think this is a beautiful portrait. Lovely light, composition and expression.

This photograph is interesting to me because you are able to have various views. There is the view of whats happening in the car, outside of the car, and in the rearview mirror.

I chose this photograph because I find self portraits to be very interesting in the way that a person chooses to portray themselves. I just really like Mapplethorpe's intense expression.
